Gardening - my husband has one, just one, raised bed for his tomatoes and some green beans. Last year it wasn't too successful, but I attribute the failure to his preoccupation with taking care of me after total knee replacement surgery. Another gardening connection - my flower beds. Perennials, Annuals, hostas, love them all. Next week I hope to be planting (along with my 3 year old helper).

Then there were the references to Galatians and the Fruit of the Spirit. Last summer I read a book titled "A Woman's Walk with God: Growing in the Fruit of the Spirit" by Elizabeth George. My sister was reading it, recommended it as we were dealing with some issues with our 86 year old mother who had fallen and broken her hip and was being very stubborn about her future plans (she won---actually we gave up). In September my sister gave me a DVD set of sermons given by one of the pastors at the near Cleveland church where she works. Those sermons keep me company on the drive back and forth to Logansport each day. Lastly our minister just finished his sermon series on the same topic and scriptures.

Is there a message that I need to hear? I am getting the hint! I also appreciate your remarks about examining one's heart. How true is that! The last two weeks have been extremely difficult, moreso than usual at the end of the semester, and I have had to remind myself frequently not to harden my heart.

Lots of food for thought and words of wisdom in your post. You write well. I encourage you to continue writing in your blog.

Professor Ladybughttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12413604633395410844noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2302826679818163324.post-25495773979962596732013-05-08T18:08:32.600-07:002013-05-08T18:08:32.600-07:00Thanks Olivia! I have enjoyed reading several of your posts, but for some reason wasn't able to post any comments on your blog. Not sure why. Anyways... nice posts. I especially liked the Anne of Green Gables one. She is my favorite!
